What You Will Do Gannett Fleming has been a driving force in the industry since 1915. Gannett Flemings name is on some of the largest water infrastructure initiatives across the U.S., boasting a robust portfolio of public and private projects. Our Water Business Line is currently looking for summer interns in our Camp Hill, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, Piscataway, NJ, and Baltimore, MD offices. As a Gannett Fleming intern, you will work a 40-hour week, with at least 10 weeks of work required during the period from mid-May to the end of August. Our interns are assigned both a supervisor and a mentor with the goal of providing a diverse, challenging, and rewarding experience. Current projects include water, wastewater and stormwater treatment plant rehabilitation; pipeline and pumping station design and construction; system hydraulic modeling; safe yield investigations; and preparation of various regulatory agency permit renewal and financial aid applications. Under direction of experienced water, wastewater, and stormwater engineers, you will assist with a variety of system engineering assignments, including: Field data collection Data analysis Report writing Hydraulic modeling Permitting Research and evaluation of various topics, processes, and equipment Preliminary facilities design Financial analyses Client interaction Minimum Qualifications Degree program: BS or MS in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering Cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher Current Status: Sophomore or above Applicable Course Work including but not limited to water, wastewater, fluids, hydraulics, chemistry, etc. Good verbal and written communications skills Team-oriented Good problem-solving skills Life at Gannett Fleming For more than 100 years , weve been a leader in global infrastructure solutions with a focus on planning, design, technology, and construction management services for a diverse array of markets and disciplines.
