SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of Human Resources team, the Human Resources Intern will provide HR-related assistance, to include recruiting, preparation of FMLA paperwork, employee event planning, and other tasks as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Safety Accepts the following principles: a. The safety pyramid is the foundation for prevention. b. All injuries are preventable. c. Must understand and embrace the requirement of both internal and external Suppliers and Customers. c. Takes personal ownership by consistently providing timely and excellent products and services that meet or exceeds customer requirements. 3. Assist with Tokusens recruiting efforts (post jobs, schedule interviews, communicate with candidates, schedule drug screens/background checks, etc.) 4. Assist with setting up new employee orientation and employee appreciate events. 5. Assist with preparation of paperwork associated with FMLA. 6. Assist with developing the human resources functions within Tokusens web-based ADP system. 7. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: 1. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This job operates primarily in a professional office environment and involves sitting for extended periods at a computer workstation. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This job requires the ability to enter and safely move about the production area of the plant, utilizing the proper personal protective equipment. This position may transport employees to local health care facilities. Must be able to see, hear, touch, feel, lift (up to 20 lbs.) and stand for short periods of time. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position performs duties which are performed in the operational area(s) of the plant or which require driving a vehicle on the companys behalf. These duties are safety-sensitive duties for the purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. POSITION TYPE/CLASSIFICATION: This is a part-time position. This position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. TRAVEL Occasional local travel may be required for transporting employees for drug screens or other work-related needs, as they arise. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: Required: 1. A high school diploma or GED. 2. College course work in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or similar. 3. High level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products. Preferred: 1. Valid drivers license.
