Description

The Bean Counter is a CPA firm that is looking for a part-time employee or intern. We have an office in San Mateo and Belmont. The hours are flexible. We would like the student to be able to work a minimum of 20 hours a week during the 2019 tax season from January 2019 to April 2019. Responsibilities: Prepare individual and business tax returns. Prepare financial statements for clients. Monthly bookkeeping and bank reconciliations. Conduct business specific research gather and analyze data, interpret results, compile reports and make recommendations. Manage client engagements to ensure they go out in a quick and efficient manner. Requirements Desired Qualifications: Working toward a Bachelors degree, preferably in accounting, finance or business. GPA of 3.30 or higher Preferred completion of at least four Accounting courses. Any tax courses would be a plus. Exhibit a basic understanding of accounting and tax rules. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Perform work accurately and in a time efficient manner, with strong attention to detail, organization and follow through Ability to work under supervision and accept constructive feedback, making adjustments as directed Strong computer skills, including solid skill in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Word & Excel) and report writing tools
