As a global leader, we host international conferences in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science around the globe including Boston, San Francisco, New York, London, Tokyo, India, and Ukraine. We have one of the largest online community in data science and AI via our blog site and training site. We host data scientists from companies like Apple, Google, Uber, Amazon, Facebook, IBM, and the hottest startups in the field. About the position: ODSC is seeking a creative and enthusiastic intern who is eager to learn about building content and manage communication pipelines with some of the smartest people in the field of artificial intelligence and data science. The chosen candidate will help deliver and bring some of the biggest and most exciting content available in the world of data science and artificial intelligence. The intern reports to the Speaker & Content Department leadership and would be expected to coordinate time efficiently by managing conference speakers & content. Work will include extensive research, outreach, and follow-up on a regular basis. Must be highly organized and task/track focused. Basic Responsibilities: * Via our training and onboarding materials become proficient in understanding which are the most exciting areas of data science and AI and who are the people doing the most compelling work in the field * Provide support to research and compile background information on potential event speakers, content and online presenters * Learning to apply project management principles to work on Speaker Recruitment, content development and helping speakers understand the value of presenting at ODSC * Coordinate communication with event speakers and others * Coordinate with our off/on-shore teams to help build and manage our online Webinar series of talks, MOOCs and live coding sessions * The intern would be expected to follow a project schedule and keep track of tasks, time, etc. * Ensure emails are answered in a timely fashion * Working with the team on our web and app platforms to ensure all speaker and content information is updated and correct. * Learn gathering conference and online training materials from our workshop and training instructors Required Skills: * Recent college graduate or working towards pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in a related field * Some background in communications or data science is a strong plus * Ability to find, qualify, and document information * Ability to work and handle a large amount of data and information in Excel * Eager to learn about extensive email campaigns and communication management * Eager to learn about the tools and technologies required for research, communications and data management * Excellent English verbal and written communication skills * Ability to work under general supervision and must be detail-oriented * Must be highly organized Job Types: Full-time, Internship Salary: $12.00 to $15.00 /hour Education: * Bachelor's (Preferred)
