Position Summary The Texas Tech Credit Union seeks an IT intern with a passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. The intern will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior leadership. This internship position is temporary and will run from June 3, 2019 to August 30, 2019. Duties & Responsibilities 1. Support the IT and Applications teams in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems. 2. Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support. 3. Provides excellent customer service for users, members, and management both in person and during remote support situations. 4. Exercises sound judgement, initiative, and attention to detail as well as the ability to function well in a rapidly changing environment. 5. Champions and embodies company values of Kindness, Trust, Excellence, Respect, and Stewardship. 6. Executes company IS strategies, policies, procedures, and projects to achieve organization goals and requirements. Skills & Qualifications 1. Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems major. (Actively pursuing industry certifications also acceptable.) 2. Reliable transportation and valid license is mandatory as there will be occasional travel to remote properties to provide support. (Mileage reimbursement available.) 3. Able to lift up to 50lbs and is comfortable sitting or standing for long periods if necessary. 4. Excellent ability to multitask, prioritize, and report. Professional demeanor and dress. 5. Must work well independently and in a team setting. Needs effective communication skills. Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
