What you willdo Johnson Controls invites youto apply for a year round product management internship located in Wichita, KS.The Product Management group is the primary interface between internal groupssuch as Engineering, marketing and external Sales and Customer groups. Typical work includes market analysis, writing product specifications,developing business cases, technical writing, and sales training. ProductManagement touches many aspects of the business and offers variety in afast-paced environment. Duration: This is a yearround internship. Candidates must be attending school in the greater Wichitaarea and available to work 12-15 hours/week during the semester and full-timeduring the summer. How you will doit: Interns in the Product Management group will assistthe Product Specialists, Product Managers, and Technical Writers in theirnormal job tasks. Specific duties can be tailored to the interests of thecandidate. Typical tasks may include but are not limited to: Market and competitive analysisreporting for strategic guidance. Targeted competitive analysis andproof of concept for setting design specs. Historical sales analysis for usein business cases and strategic decision making. Writing Technical Instructions. Coordinating Technical Literaturereview and signoff in a process- controlled environment. Writing Marketing Letters forcustomer groups. Assisting with customerpresentations, visits, and tours. Checking and updating performancecertification reports in an online database format. Developing computer macros orprograms for data formatting and checking. #internship What we lookfor Required Qualifications: Currently enrolled as a full-time studentat an accredited U.S. college or university Undergrads studying Engineering with a minor in marketing or business looking to pursue business as a career Current MBA student with an undergrad in Engineering looking to pursue a career in business Located in the Wichita area and available to beginworking this semester on a part-time basis (approximately 12-15hours/week) and full-time during the summer. Poses a GPA of 3.0 or higher Word Platform- Word, Excel, PowerPoint Currently a freshman, sophomore, junior or seniorstatus graduating in December 2019 or later. U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. Excellent communication skills.
