Description UST Global is looking for a Legal Intern to join our Legal Contracts team in UST Global' headquarters in Aliso Viejo CA. The candidate will work closely with our U.S. contracts and legal groups and collaborate with other members of the Legal department team and other employees of the company, to assist the attorneys in defining, creating and editing legal documents and contracts and assisting in other legal matters with other legal department staff members. Responsibilities Specifically, under the supervision of the attorneys or other legal department staff members, as applicable, the candidate will o review templates, NDA s, Statements of Work, Work Orders and certain third party vendor agreements. * Comparing agreements against company template agreements * Reviewing final agreements against final draft versions * Modifying agreements documents as instructed by the attorneys * Assist counsel in assessing, managing and reporting on certain tax driven contract restructuring initiatives relating to certain client agreements. * Help attorneys and other legal operations personnel to organize and track all contracts in place that are currently active or are otherwise under review. * Help legal department personnel and attorneys to develop reports related to contract review, stakeholder approval, and execution process as requested. * Attend contract negotiations with attorneys as requested, including both internal and external meetings. * Research and analyze various legal matters and issues as instructed by the Legal Department Requirements and Competencies * Must be currently pursuing a Law Degree at an ABA accredited law school in which the candidate has completed the first or second year of law school in good academic standing. * Ability to work in a collaborative and highly interactive environment * A strong interest in contract law and transactional work in which the candidate has attended a standard ABA bar preparatory contracts class and passed with a B or equivalent or better. * Excellent computer skills, MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional * Exceptional writing and oral communications skills * Ability to work with diverse groups and reach consensus * Ability to multi task and work under pressure with multiple interdependent deadlines * Excellent time management skills * Solid people skills * Well organized and process oriented Qualifications MUST BE CURRENTLY PURSUING A LAW DEGREE AT AN ABA ACCREDITED LAW SCHOOL IN WHICH THE CANDIDATE HAS COMPLETED THE FIRST OR SECOND YEAR OF LAW SCHOOL IN GOOD ACADEMIC STANDING.
