An internship at Edwards gives you the opportunity to participate in Summer Program, which provides exposure to our leadership team, community activities, and social events with other interns and recent new graduates. If you are in your penultimate year of school while interning at Edwards, you'll have the opportunity to present your learnings and be evaluated for full-time opportunities within our Finance Development Program or entry-level Finance roles. About the Job: The experience as a Global Supply Chain Finance Intern will provide a real world opportunity to understand how the finance team interacts with our business partners in operations. The internship lasts from June 2019 through August 2019, and extensions are possible. This assignment will provide hands-on training as well as practical experience on how to apply concepts studied in accounting, business administration, and/or finance classes in a team environment. Work efforts will primarily be focused on aligning systems and forecast reporting with the strategic direction of the new Digital Strategy team. The internship will include the following: Interaction with several business managers in the organization, as well as Executive leaders; Exposure to the monthly close, monthly forecast, and annual operating plan cycles; Development of presentations for business partners and Executive leaders; and Extensive use of accounting and forecasting systems. Key Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in progress with concentration in Accounting or Finance. Must be graduating between December 2019 and December 2020. Full-Time Availability from June through August 2019. Minimum GPA of 3.0 Minimum requirement of US Permanent Residency. Preferred Qualifications: Effective written and verbal communication skills Data manipulation and analysis using Excel; Data Analytic skills and/or Data Visualization experience are a plus; Leadership experience: volunteer, clubs, team sports, extra-curricular activities, special projects, etc.; Strong presentation skills; and Solid working knowledge of US GAAP. A flexible, client-focused, service-oriented mindset is key for the position. Professionally-oriented candidates with excellent communication and interpersonal skills would be successful in this position. You will interact with many departments and should have a confident, inquisitive mindset to fully understand various processes. Must be a reliable, self-motivated, team player with strong writing skills. An ideal individual will be analytical, detail-oriented, and focused.
