Intern - Store Support Services O'Reilly Auto Parts Springfield, MO Posted 1 day ago Apply on Company Website Email Job Job Snapshot Part-Time Degree - High School Other Great Industries Entry Level Job Description Tentative Schedule: This is a part-time opportunity; with flexible scheduling Under direct supervision, the Intern - Store Support Services will gain exposure to all functions performed by Computer Help Support including: store operations, hardware, software and communication troubleshooting. Interns will assist with answering these questions from the support desk via phone, email and online tickets. Computer Help Support provides 24 hour service to our stores, seven days a week. Schedules including days, nights, overnights and weekends. Essential Job Functions * Answer calls from stores with regard to questions and issues they experience with their computer system * Assist in minor repairs to computer equipment that are performed in-house * Provide troubleshooting in WAN/LAN issues at the store * Load and maintain computer access passwords for the stores * Communicate with store personnel to clarify and identify all errors and forward the issues to the appropriate personnel * Maintain excellent customer service in all customer or team member contracts * Provide after-hours support for other corporate departments * Monitor and respond to emails from service providers, corporate users and stores * Ensure the computer hardware and software operates as efficiently as possible to prevent the interruption of business at all retail locations * Direct communication with store personnel, district managers, regional managers, territory sales managers, distribution center personnel, loss prevention auditors, corporate users, customers, vendors and job applicants * Additional projects as assigned * Update and maintain incidents using the ticketing software * Completion of required training as assigned Skills and Qualifications Required: * High school diploma or equivalent * Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and communication skills; is capable of explaining procedures in writing, verbally, and over the phone * Exceptional problem solving skills, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skill * Ability to think outside-the-box, perform research, and operate independently or in a group setting * Basic technical and computer knowledge Apply on Company Website Email Job Job ID: 186381 Help us improve CareerBuilder by providing feedback about this job: Report this Job.
