This job brought to you by Professional Diversity Network, Inc Type: Full Time Location : Federal Way, Washington Job Description: DescriptionINTERNSHIP SUMMARY: Interns will be matched with mentors and projects based on degree of experience and mutual interests. At the end of the internship program, each Intern will write up a project summary and give a presentation summarizing their work. INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW: * Assist in creating and updating benefit summary guide * Research best practices in communicating employee benefits; explore interesting perks/fringe benefit offerings * Run reports and analyze data trends * Research HR dashboard and optimizing existing dashboards * Participate in training creation and execution * Evaluate career paths * Create a job description * Evaluate position and identify basic and preferred qualifications * Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite * Clear written and verbal communications * Good time management skills * Good organizational skills * Good attention to detail * Work well in a team environment * Able to maintain confidential information CORE COMPETENCIES: * Commitment to Excellence - Identifies what needs to be accomplished and takes action to achieve a standard of excellence beyond job expectations * Corporate Values - Understands, embraces, and integrates Doyon corporate values into everyday duties and responsibilities * Customer Service - Identifies and responds to current and future needs by providing excellent service to internal and external customers * Safety and Security - Promotes a safe work environment for co-workers and customers * Teamwork - Resourceful team player that builds, strengthens, and maintains collaborative relationships with others inside or outside the organization JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES: * Attention to Detail - Ensures one's own and other's work and information are complete and accurate * Planning and Organizing - Systematically develops plans, prioritizes, organizes and manages resources in order to accomplish business goals within a specific time period RequirementsEligibility: Required * Must be a Doyon, Limited shareholder * Must be enrolled in undergraduate studies or Master's program in good standing. You must be enrolled and returning to school in Fall quarter. * Must be able to work a minimum 20 hours per week for 5 weeks. * Pursuing a career in Human Resources or related field. * Must be 18 years of age or older. COMPENSATION: Interns will receive $15.00 per hour (less taxes). HOUSING: Housing is not provided as a part of the internship program. If selected, we will provide a list of housing resources for you. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of the work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to forty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
