Posted on Marketing and Communications Intern Austin Habitat for Humanity in Austin, TX, USA Austin Habitat for Humanity (AHFH) is seeking a part time Marketing and Communications Intern. Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Marketing and Communications Intern have the opportunity to work hand in hand with our Development team on all marketing and communications for AHFH. The Marketing and Communications Intern will work anywhere from 10-20 hours per week at our offices at 500 W. Ben White Blvd. Who we are: Austin Habitat for Humanity (AHFH) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to ending the cycle of poverty housing in the Austin Region. AHFH believes that everyone deserves a decent, affordable place to live. AHFH was incorporated in 1985 and is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a global, non-profit housing corporation founded in 1976. Who you are: The Marketing and Communications Intern is responsible for assisting in the implementation of various aspects of marketing and communications for Austin Habitat for Humanity under the direction of the Communications Manager, ReStore Marketing Manager and Development Team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Working closely with the Communications Manager and ReStore Marketing Manager to analyze successful content and develop strategies for social media messaging and ongoing campaigns * Assisting in tracking, organizing, and maintaining a comprehensive catalog of Austin Habitat for Humanity and ReStore media appearances and mentions * Assisting with collecting, researching, and compiling data for strategic marketing and communications efforts, campaigns and sponsorship/grant requirements * Assisting with tactical planning and execution for the expansion of Austin Habitat and ReStore messaging and branding * Assisting in the creation and development of content, social media messaging, and branded materials for the Development Team, and overall organization * Supporting the Marketing Manager and Graphic Designer in website content creation, edits, and updates * Helping Development Team to manage third party event coordination and event attendance REQUIREMENTS: * Strong desire to learn with professional drive * Excellent verbal and written communications skills * Strong knowledge of social media platforms * Experience and/or interest in non-profits or affordable housing * Strong attention to detail * Graphic design experience a plus Posted date: yesterday
