Information Technology Intern PharPoint Research, Inc. - Durham, NC 1 day agoPart-timeEstimated: $29,000 - $39,000 a year Apply Now Education * Bachelor's Degree * High School Diploma or GED Skills * Driver's License BASIC SUMMARY: Coordinates technical aspects of Information Systems processes and projects under direction of IT Management. Responsibilities include: supporting help desk triage, control and inventory of IT assets throughout the enterprise, support of PharPoints server/network/telecom operations and support of IT infrastructure, and performing maintenance and research of IT initiatives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Support Information Systems projects and initiatives. * Support Information Systems project team members. * Support operational technical requirements. * Triage of helpdesk ticketing system to appropriate IT staff. * Inventory control of PharPoint IT assets. * Desktop/Laptop support, installation, and modification. * Documentation review/creation of IT processes, software/hardware configuration guides, and user manuals. * Monitor all internal information systems and assist in required maintenance. * Comply with PharPoints data integrity & business ethics requirements. * Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to PharPoint quality standards and SOPs. * Ensure that departmental equipment is maintained in good working condition and that departmental area(s) are maintained in a clean and orderly condition. * Adhere to all aspects of PharPoints quality system. * Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. QUALIFICATIONS: * Education: High School diploma. Progress in obtaining Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent strongly encouraged. * Experience: Experience in a professional environment desired. * An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. * Certification/Licensure: * Other: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and type/work at a computer. * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. * The employee must be able to lift 50lbs or more. WORK ENVIRONMENT: * General office working conditions, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Occasional work will be required in areas where computer equipment provides a higher level of noise. Comments: * This position requires occasional domestic/international travel. * This position requires a valid drivers license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
