Event Coordinator Internship Collective Ventures - Fort Lauderdale, FL 6 hours agoInternshipEstimated: $26,000 - $32,000 a year Apply Now Skills * Event Planning A startup incubator, co-working space, and event management group in Fort Lauderdale is seeking (2) interns that are interested in learning hospitality management and event management. Learn more at www.instagram.com/collectiveventures As an intern, your job description will include helping with creative writing, social media creation, monthly editorials, blogging, event management, space management and more. While this is a non-paid internship, this opportunity is eligible for school credit if needed, along with a letter of recommendation upon request. This is a 3 month assignment with the possibility of permanent hiring for the right candidate. Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Assist in ensuring proactive planning, communication and scheduling of a wide variety of events including annual events, networking events, and special interest group meetings, etc. Assist in the program content development for events, solicit sponsors, create and coordinate the drafting/distribution of promotional materials, sell tickets Assist in managing pre- and on-site registration (tracking via database, generating reports and producing attendee badges) for all events and programs Work with Marketing Team to plan and execute all marketing activities necessary to ensure successful events Participate in meetings that including distributing agenda and taking minutes Monitor the special events content on the website and social media sites to ensure they are updated Secure equipment and rentals as needed, confirm layout day of for event, set-up, tear-down, and help coordination of overall event execution Assist with donor acknowledgement and guest follow-up QUALIFICATIONS Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment and still meet deadlines Dynamic self-starter who takes initiative, highly reliable Strong verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and follow-up skills Proactive problem prevention and issue resolution leadership ability Polished and professional when dealing with members, prospective members, sponsors, and executive management Ability to work independently and as part of a team Job type: Three month non-paid internship to a full-time position Job Type: Internship Experience: * Event Coordination: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: * One location
