We manufacture and build a light gauge, structural steel panelized framing system that is revolutionizing how we build apartments, student dormitories and more. We are seeking a current student in their Undergraduate or Graduate degree program to join our team from approximately late May to early August. Overview/Objective Summary: To experience the manufacturing process engineering environment in a real-life setting and assist with daily tasks that the team assigns. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Document current processes for construction sites and manufacturing plants Perform time studies Analyze daily production data and make recommendations for process improvement Implement / lead process improvement activities Interns Primary Goals/Takeaways: Document current state for labor standards Develop Hr-Hr boards Identify opportunities to reduce labor requirements, improve installation throughput and site safety Work Environment: This position operates in an office environment with occasional time spent in the plant. Position Type: This is a temporary, non-exempt level paid internship.
