Opportunity Overview What part will you play? Warner Bros. Technology is seeking an undergraduate intern for our Data Science team. This internship is intended to provide meaningful and practical work experience to a student interested in predictive analytics & machine learning for the WB Technology Group. The Intern will be expected to perform data manipulation, machine learning, and predictive modeling in a fast paced and fun environment. Some of the duties will include: Conducting analysis in R/Python Data manipulation with relational databases and SQL Working in cloud-based environments such as AWS Learning machine learning and predictive modeling approaches such as Random Forest, GBM, xgBoost, neural networks/deep learning, etc. Creating data visualizations and communicating findings in reports and interactive tools (Rshiny) Summer 2019 Internships start in June 2019 and are generally 10 weeks long. To be eligible to participate in our internship program, applicants must meet the following criteria: Must be enrolled in pursuit of a degree at an accredited college or university during the entire 10 weeks of the internship. Must be available to intern full-time in Burbank, CA from Mondays to Fridays starting June 2019 September 2019. Must be in good academic standing. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to provide own relocation housing and transportation. Must be able to provide copy of unofficial transcript. What do we require from you? College major focused on Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or a directly related field of study Experience with basic programming in R or Python Exposure to Data Science concepts and foundations; exposure to Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and or Big Data concepts preferred Must have proficient computer skills; Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook preferred Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers and other levels of personnel Must have the ability to pay close attention to details Must have the ability to organize Must have the ability to work well under time constraints Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks But Wait, Theres More!
