For more information, visit www.firstam.com JOB SUMMARY First American s internship program offers hands-on experience in the title insurance industry. Students will gain exposure and knowledge to various parts of the Company through engaging with top leadership in our executive speaker talks, title insurance workshops, career panels, and much more. Interns will also be encouraged to provide new insights and solutions to management on key projects assigned. 2L law students in the Underwriting program will work on assignments related to Real Estate Law. Underwriting interns will also be attending approximately 5 hours of training per week and will work on various projects in the office including but not limited to: legal research for underwriters, preparing indemnity letters, attending seminars, and visiting customers' or agents' offices with underwriters. SESSIONS START ON MAY 20, 2019 AND JUNE 17, 2019 FOR 10-12 WEEKS OF FULL TIME WORK KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS/TECHNOLOGY USED * Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications. * An interest and willingness to learn about the Mortgage, Real Estate, Financial, Title Insurance or related industries. * The ability to solve problems, be detailed oriented and be conscientious about all work completed. * An ingrained concern for the customer and representing our Company in the best professional manner as possible. * The potential to excel in the following competencies: Communication, Customer Focus, Ethics & Integrity, Teamwork & Adaptability, Productivity & Initiative. * Outstanding interpersonal skills.
