zza has open positions for interns in its Digital Shop. The Digital Shop is the center of zzas online presence, managing direct customer interactions through various communication channels, including text messaging, social media, and to a lesser degree, email and phone. The Digital Shop also serves as the hub for guest analysis and insights, to support organization-wide optimization and improvement.
Digital Shop GX Interns will work under the direct supervision of the Digital Shop Leader, with oversight from the Head of Data + Guest Experience. Interns will work within a range of roles at the Digital Shop to get a full picture of how zza understands and engages with its guests to create optimal experience.
Responsibilities will include Interns engaging directly with guests and resolving issues through the organizations text messaging platform. They will also conduct analysis on data gathered through the organizations various engagement platforms, and may also do light programming and system development to support new programs and initiatives.
Interns will also work limited hours within a physical shop to better understand the on-the-ground experience at zza, to support a holistic understanding of zza, its culture, and the experience it is seeking to support.
Other than limited shifts at physical shop locations, GX Interns will operate out of zzas Support location at 500 Penn St., NE. The Digital Shop GX Intern position is provisioned for 30 hours/week, with hours to be determined by availability of the selected candidates. The Digital Shop operates concurrently with physical shop locations, so GX Interns may be asked to work non-standard work hours, anywhere from 9 am to 11 pm.

Qualifications + Skills
// Comfort in responding to guest issues and questions
// Familiarity with text messaging and how it can be used to communicate quickly and personably
// Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to negotiate and problem solve.
// Strong data and analytical skills, primarily through Excel, but possibly through SQL, R, Python, and/or other data manipulation tools and techniques
// General awareness of enterprise software configuration standards
// Familiarity with basic programming languages and development techniques
