No VP Area President Department 01761 - AUXILIARY BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Location Campus City Salt Lake City, UT Type of Recruitment External Posting Pay Rate Range $9.00 to $12.00/h DOE Close Date 06/13/2019 Job Summary There are three sides to our business: Protect, Promote, and Profit from the University Trademarks. This internship will also assist in Auxiliary Services marketing needs for the seven auxiliary departments on campus. This position will be responsible for analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, evaluate industry trends and learn how data shapes the licensing business. This internship offers real-world experience working with internal University teams as well as external licensees and retailers. Responsibilities 1.Provide reporting, analysis, presentations, and actionable recommendations using an internal data platform. 2.Work with internal licensing team members to provide high-level insights for retailers and licensees. 3.Provide insight into current industry and market trends, identifying marketing opportunities. 4.Assists in marketing surveys and research projects to compile and interpret information for effective use by licensing and marketing teams. 5.Build strong communication rapport with team members to effectively communicate short term and long-term goals, both internally and with external partners. 6.Manage any relevant social media advertising campaigns from beginning to end, including delegating time-sensitive tasks to team members when relevant and necessary. 7.Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Motivated, full-time, University of Utah student pursuing a degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related area. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and present findings. Must also demonstrate an aptitude for human and public relations and effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. Preferences Experience with web analytic solutions and data visualization and communication skills preferred.
