Your Opportunity In this position as an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of engineers and technologists on multiple projects for a range of public and private sector clients. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment. You will perform a variety of selected tasks and assignments to continue to develop knowledge and skills within the electrical discipline. Assignments will require good technical understanding of the basics. Work performed will be under the direct supervision of a Senior Technician or Engineer. Your Key Responsibilities Prepare drawings,specifications, schedules, details and sketches from conceptual design throughto construction Facilitate and ensurethe quality of the project deliverables Follow productionguidelines and project standards in the department drafting standards manual Providing CAD draftingand design assistance for a wide variety of projects, from report stage throughdesign and construction administration You will be expected tosupport team operations and play an integral part in the promotion of ourhealth and safety culture Coordinates with otherprofessionals on assigned projects Your Capabilities andCredentials Working understandingof CAD Standards Takes initiative ontasks and in coordinating with other members of the team Proficient in Microsoft(MS) Office Suite Working knowledge ofsoftware programs including AutoCAD and/or Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, andAdobe Acrobat Working knowledge ofbasic calculations Effective written andverbal communication skills Able to work under andmeet tight deadlines Ability to solveproblems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation Eager to learn withstrong listening and critical thinking and problem solving skills Education and Experience Must be in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited university. Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
