This job brought to you by Local Organization Type: Full Time Location : Minneapolis, Minnesota Job Description: SPS Commerce SPS Commerce is an EEO Race/Gender/Veteran/Disability Employer US-MN-Minneapolis Job ID 2019-3983 Category Finance & Accounting # of Openings 1 Description The Legal Intern is responsible for assisting the General Counsel and Corporate Attorney with preparing, reviewing, and negotiating non-disclosure, sales and purchase agreements. The Legal Intern will also assist the General Counsel and Corporate Attorney with managing contract retention, and driving process improvements to achieve greater efficiencies in the management of all contract matters. Additionally, the Legal Intern will assist the General Counsel in other special projects, as assigned. The ideal candidate will have the ability and desire to work directly with customers and internal team members in a busy, fast-paced environment and handle a high level of responsibility in closely collaborative relationships. HOURS 20 hours/week, with potential for more hours based on workload. Flexible schedule. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Serves as the primary resource for business teams for review and negotiation of non-disclosure agreements. Collaborates with the General Counsel and Corporate Attorney to review and negotiate sales and purchase contracts, as assigned. Serves as the primary resource for the legal team for managing contract retention and management. Assists the General Counsel and Corporate Attorney with ensuring proper version control and distribution of contracts to teams. Executes special projects as requested by the General Counsel, which may include research of legal topics, or management of company-wide corporate compliance programs. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED Currently 2L or 3L, or above. Ability to work professionally across all levels of the organization. Excellent interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills. Excellent analytical and synthesizing skills.
