Position Summary: The Information Technology Intern is a temporary position within our Information Technology team. This includes learning processes utilized by the Information Technology group to enhance the overall efficiencies of the team & perform other tasks. The Information Technology Intern must remain flexible and willing to adapt to IT issues as the need arises. Furthermore, the intern will be utilized to assist in aiding with Information Technology projects as they become available. We are seeking current students who are available to work full time through the summer and 16-30 hours per week on a year round basis. Freshman, sophomores or juniors preferred. Position Responsibilities Respond to user requests for service, troubleshoot problems and help develop solutions. Support PC hardware components, desktop operating system software, and application software. Perform minor repairs to equipment and arrange for other servicing needs. Record activities, solutions and other responses to request for service. Assist in maintaining inventory records and documentation for equipment. Assist users in determining appropriate software solutions to meet needs. Develop and provide user training for basic hardware and software use. Maintains open communication and positive working relationship with staff. Perform other duties/projects as assigned. Qualifications Some college course work or equivalent experience preferred Strong verbal & written communication skills Commitment to excellent customer service internally and externally Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office computing skills Ability to meet firm deadlines in a fast-paced environment Must work well in a team environment & be able to build relationships with diverse groups High commitment to company vision & values Applicant must be located in Louisville, KY area.
