Looking for a student to work full time (40 hours/week) during the summer, and part time (~20 hours/week) during the fall semester. The company will be flexible around the student's class schedule. Minimum GPA 3.00 Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills. Experience in writing in various styles for different audiences. A strategic-minded team player with an enthusiastic, can-do attitude. Ability to manage multiple tasks and requests well. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced working knowledge of social media channels and its benefits to reach audiences with custom messages. Familiarity with the Associated Press style guidelines. Experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint is required. Experience with Adobe PhotoShop and Adobe Premiere Pro is a plus, but not required. Job Description Writing content on a variety of topics, tailoring the style and voice to the channel(s) used to reach various audiences (customers, employees, media, etc.). Research activities will include, but not be limited to benchmarking strategies and work from other utilities on key trends within the industry. Attend meetings with external agencies and internal clients, then assisting management and departmental staff with communications-related follow-up activities. Assist with taking photos and videos that will complement company communications. Other duties and projects as assigned. Work Conditions Office environment utilizing an office desk sitting, reading, listening or speaking with the ability to move intermittently throughout the day. May require some coordinated travel to company facilities outside of Louisville with departmental staff. Physical Effort Primarily sitting with some standing and walking.
