The College also offers articulated programs, including dental, optometry, chiropractic and health professions, as well as visual arts therapy and law, with colleges and institutions in New Jersey and New York. Undergraduate students may choose to concentrate their studies in one of five schools with more than 539 course offerings and more than 36 academic programs. Ramapo College boasts an average student/faculty ratio of 18:1 and an average class size of 23; affording students the opportunity to develop close ties to the Colleges exceptional faculty. The College offers part-time graduate programs leading to degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, Educational Technology, Educational Leadership, Nursing, Social Work and Special Education. Job Summary: The Summer Intern reports to the Assistant Director of New Student Experience. The Summer Intern will assist in key aspects of the implementation of new student orientation for all new students as well as with the supervision of the Orientation staff including residing on campus for the duration of orientation. DUTIES: * Assists in the coordination, supervision and evaluation of the summer orientation model. * Assists in increasing and improving first-year and transfer support services. * Trains and supervises student Orientation Leaders. * Provides leadership for designated student staff. Communicates daily tasks and follows-up with student staff regularly. * Assists in training and evaluating of student staff. * Represents the Center for Student Success at Admissions programs and campus wide meetings as needed. * Assists with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programming for first year and transfer students. * Creates materials and facilitates presentations to promote Center for Student Success services. * Assists with the development and implementation of assessment tools, collects and summarizes data, and delivers recommendations. * Provides clerical support for the Center for Student Success as needed. * Makes appointments and attends Enrollment Management/Student Affairs trainings and/or meetings, as directed by supervisor. * Stays abreast of current trends and issues within Enrollment Management/Student Affairs. * Utilizes available technology in the delivery of services. * Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree and enrollment in a related graduate program are required. Undergraduate experience in academic and student affairs services is preferred. Excellent oral and written skills are a must. Potential candidate should have public speaking experience and a commitment to student academic and social success. Supervisory experience is preferred.
