Join a team that has the environment down to a science. YourOpportunity Stantec is searching for an Intern to support our environmental practice with ecosystem restoration work. We are seeking individuals who are pursuing a Civil/Environmental/Agricultural Engineer, Fluvial Geomorphology, Biology, Ecology or Environmental Scientist degree to assist with Natural Channel Design projects. Candidates should have a working knowledge of hydrology, restoration, geomorphology, water quality issues, and ecology. Your KeyResponsibilities Review field document data and assist in the completion of staff level work (data management, report preparation) on ecosystem restoration work. * Learn and follow standardoperating procedures for work assigned. * Demonstrate ability to analyzefield and technical data. * Draft technical reports. * Perform other technical dutiesas requested. Your Capabilities and Credentials * Proficientin Microsoft Office software * Strongdetail orientation and ability to organize and prioritize a diverse arrayof assignments and duties * Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills * Strongtechnical writing skills * Self-motivatedand ability to work independently and with a team * Commitmentto thrive in a proactive organization where client service is second tonone * Musthave a good driving record and valid drivers license Education and Experience * Currently pursueing a BS or MS in Civil, Environmentalor Agricultural Engineering; Biology, Geology, Ecology, or EnvironmentalScience (or related field) * 0 to 2 years of experience Typical office environment working with computers and sitting at a desk. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
