Job Summary: The Electrical Engineering Intern I will work with an experienced Electrical Engineer who designs, develops, and tests all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and systems. Performs routine logic design tasks associated with the development of new products or sustaining of existing products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned) * Reviews and helps implement digital circuit designs of low complexity involving microelectronics and analog devices. * Performs functional tests on relevant electronic assemblies and documents results. * Assists in troubleshooting problems. * Researches component specifications for use in designs. * Prepares supporting documentation. * Performs testing of components and products as needed. * Performs testing of products at the vehicle test facility (valid driver's license and clean driving record required). * At the end of the internship term, intern will present an overview of their projects and what was learned to the Engineering and Management team. Desired Skills and Experience: * Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret engineering and design documents. * Typically requires no related work experience, however lab experience in an academic setting involving typical engineering equipment such as soldering irons, multi-meters, oscilloscopes or logic analyzers is required. Education: * Working towards Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, having completed a minimum of 50 credit hours towards degree, including coursework in circuits, electronics, logic design, and computer programming.
