Traffic Intern New Boulder County, CO - Boulder, CO4.1 11 hours agoFull-time$16 an hour Apply Now Education * High School Diploma or GED Skills * GIS * Adobe Creative Suite * Driver's License * AutoCAD The Boulder County Transportation is seeking to hire a Traffic Intern (hourly) position to assist with ongoing duties of the Traffic Operations Engineer. This internship will provide exposure to a variety of duties in the traffic engineering and transportation planning fields. The successful candidate will have a good attitude and willingness to help with general tasks and duties relative to ensuring safe and efficient public roads. Daily routine will be emphasized along with occasional special projects assigned by the Traffic Operations Engineer (TOE) or Engineering Manager (EM). This is a full-time, non-benefited position with Boulder County that is expected to last up to four months. The Traffic Intern works Monday through Friday out of Boulder, CO. Hiring wage: $16 per hour EXAMPLES OF DUTIES Responding to public requests, including gathering information from callers and making initial replies, as well as following up with final responses when necessary Performs field work duties such as conducting inspections and compiling documentation Updates and maintains various record keeping systems and computerized databases Compiles and reports historical and other information required for project planning Providing data necessary for traffic and speed study reports Field review and documentation of existing traffic control and safety inventory, including Guardrail Signals School zone flashers Speed display signs Other features, as necessary Providing other information as necessary and requested by TOE REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS PLEASE NOTE: When submitting your application be sure to include all relevant education and experience, as applications are screened based on the qualifications listed in this position announcement.
