No Job Details Graduate Student Intern Coastal Carolina University invites applications for the position of Graduate Student Intern in the Dean of Students Office for Summer 2019. Reporting to the Dean of Students, this position will support a number of Student Conduct and Student Advocacy & Intervention programs and initiatives. The intern will research and recommend new programs and practices to meet students needs within the Dean of Students Office, as well as be required to live on-campus to respond to after-hour student needs. Duties include, but are not limited to: shadowing the current Student Conduct and Student Advocacy and Intervention processes to gain in-depth understanding of both functional areas; providing recommendations to increase student learning, engagement, and support in both areas; supporting and/or representing the Dean of Students office at summer orientation events including in person tabling as well as responding, and to communicating with incoming students regarding requirements prior to their arrival on campus; responding as needed to on-campus student concerns or emergencies when the Dean of Students Office is closed; and living in on-campus housing will be required to meet this job duty. Requirements: Bachelors degree required. Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in higher education, student affairs administration, counseling/student personnel services, or a related field preferred.
