Quality Enhancement Intern (Summer) For more than 30 years, CDPHP has been providing outstanding health care coverage in the Capital Region of New York and beyond. The Quality Enhancement Intern will support the Quality Enhancement Department in their gap review process. The Intern will have the opportunity to outreach members directly, who have been identified with gaps in care, assist in tracking results and provide analysis on potential barriers to care. The Intern will interact daily with several members of the Quality Enhancement and Medical Affairs team. This Summer Internship offers the opportunity to work full time hours for undergraduate or graduate students. QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or GED required. * Candidate must be in pursuit of a degree in health services, nursing, pharmacy or other related field. * Experience in health care preferred. * Experience with customer service required. * Strong verbal and written communications skills are required. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. * Demonstrated ability to be detail oriented, organized and able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously. * Demonstrated self-starter with the ability work independently.
