This position will be responsible for helping maintain the intellectual property of the University. This internship offers real-world experience working with internal University teams as well as external licensees and retailers. Responsibilities 1.Maintain trademark registrations (state & federal) and assist with registering new trademarks as needed. 2.Monitor online websites (e.g. Etsy, Red Bubble, Amazon, eBay etc.) for University of Utah trademark infringements. 3.Under the direction of management, submit take down notifications through the appropriate channels. 4.Maintain Fair Labor Association (FLA) and University of Utah licensee records to ensure they meet code of conduct set forth byFLAand the University. 5.Other duties as assigned Disclaimer: This job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification. Minimum Qualifications Motivated, full-time University of Utah student pursuing a degree in corporate law, Intellectual property law, paralegal or a related area.
