Rescue's current work focuses on tobacco, obesity, violence and alcohol prevention; the promotion of exercise, fresh foods and after school programs; and other products and services that promote healthy living. Most of Rescue's behavior change campaigns focus on teens (13 - 17) and young adults (18 - 26), resulting in unrivaled experience in adolescent behavior change campaigns. Rescue is a full-service agency, providing research, strategy, creative, production, web, traditional media, social media, policy change, youth engagement and experiential marketing services to clients in over a dozen states and provinces, as well as to federal government agencies. We believe that marketing can do more than sell goods, it can create good. The Job We are looking for a dynamic, high performing individual with Event Marketing experience in conference and event logistics management, as well as organizing with teams and progressing forward on projects. The ideal candidate has a passion for behavior change, a history of logistics management, and is capable of lower levels of project management. Day-To-Day Activities: Responsible for heavy calendar management and interaction with internal staff, conference partners and vendors; Updates and maintains Google drive systems, marketing communications and staffing documentation; Provide event logistics and program operations support to National Events Director as needed (such as shipping to/from event, communicating event setup/breakdown details, maintain records of supplies, update and track deliverables needed per event, manage timelines, ensure venues and vendors invoices/payments are received and accounted for); Assists in scheduling and preparation of staff trainings, meetings and video/audio conferencing; Research and Compile Lists: Brainstorm and research new contacts; Research emails for conference attendee lists; Research and compile lists for sponsors, conference opportunities, and events. Media & Social Media Support: Brainstorm ideas for social media content; Create images and graphics; Curate lists of influencers on Twitter; Reach out to potential conference attendees on Twitter and LinkedIn; Find media clips and research relevant newsworthy topics; Other duties as assigned; Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED; Understanding of standard office administrative practices and procedures; Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as, Google Documents; Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize numerous projects at once; Understanding of deadline-driven, collaborative environment; Ability to quickly identify problems and solve them. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years relevant experience in events or marketing; Experience with public health or social marketing efforts; Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize numerous projects at once; Exercise judgment and discretion in maintaining confidential and sensitive information; Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Highly motivated, energetic self-starter who can remain focused; Non-tobacco-use is highly preferred because we only have tobacco-free environments and also to be consistent with our tobacco prevention campaign goals.
