What you will do Johnson Controls invites you to apply for our Customer Research & Insights Marketing Strategy internship based in downtown Milwaukee, WI. This is a summer internship starting immediately and continuing through the semester on a part-time basis. Qualified candidates must be attending school in the greater Milwaukee area and available both full-time in the summer and part-time during the semester. This intern will help to support and sustain more effective research processes for the Global Marketing team. As a result, the Global Marketing organization will have access to more credible and relevant customer analysis in the form of in-depth primary and secondary research reports, infographics and executive research briefings. How you will do it: * Strengthen the process impact of customer insight programs through a series of discrete projects. * Customer research: 1) program internal surveys on Qualtrics; 2) update status of projects, analyze data from surveys and report findings; 3) conduct secondary research. * Help manage the internal market research Advisory Board panel. * Conduct secondary research for competitive intelligence. * Competitive Advertising Tracking: 1) utilize the ad tracking tool to create overall findings/results/reports; 2) Additional secondary research on competitive advertising to capture advertising on social sites and Youtube. * Aid in coordinating with Industry Analysts to set up meetings with SMEs. * Support monthly research "Best Practices in Market Research" training sessions. What we look for Required Qualifications: * Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student pursuing a degree in business, marketing, communications, data analytics or similar area of study. * In the greater Milwaukee area and available to work 40 hours/week during the summer and part-time during the semester (20 hours/week). * U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S * Data analytics experience preferred. * Interest in business, market research and general marketing. * Investigative curiosity enjoys digging through unstructured data to bring up insights., * Intermediate Excel experience (V-LookUps, Pivot tables) and exposure to data visualization principles and techniques. Experience with SPSS statistical software or Tableau a plus. * Interest and/or experience with marketing projects, market research projects or business cases a plus.
