Marketing and Communications Intern Children's Respite Care Center - Omaha, NE3.3 1 day agoPart-timeEstimated: $20,000 - $28,000 a year Skills * Computer Literacy * Adobe Photoshop * Excel * Word Processing * Adobe InDesign The mission of Childrens Respite Care Center is to provide comprehensive services and family support to medically fragile, developmentally delayed, physically challenged, and behaviorally disordered children and their families by providing services that evoke maximum potential and foster the development of intellectual and social competence. Description: CRCC seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist fundraising, marketing and communications efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing while working for well-known community based nonprofit organization. Responsibilities: Update and maintain CRCCs social media presence, including scheduling Facebook, Instagram and Twitter updates. Integrated Fundraising and Social Media plan in place. Designing flyers, graphics, e-vites and other marketing material for events hosted by CRCC Update the CRCC website when needed Collaborating with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications Qualifications: Firm grasp of available tools, platforms and key measurements in the social media space Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, Excel). Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop highly desired. An effective communicator, both written and oral Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines Enthusiasm for the mission of Childrens Respite Care Center and the families we serve Start Date: Position open until filled Hours: 12 15 hours/week, 12-16 weeks (start date is negotiable). Opportunity to extend based on parties interests upon completion of first contract. Compensation: This is an Unpaid/Volunteer internship- we are willing to work with student for credit with college internship coordinators.
