Job Information Transport America HR Intern in Eagan, Minnesota Transport America has an immediate need for an HR Intern who is responsible for handling personnel related administrative tasks and provide support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. Necessary to maintain confidentiality in all areas and have the ability to work in a professional manner. Specifically, this position will be responsible for: * Point person for phone calls and in person assistance * Assists the Values Engagement Team and Positive Projects Committee * Provides advice, assistance and follow up on company policies and procedures * Maintains exit interview data * Organize and prepare confidential documents for imaging * Anniversary activities * Per diem enrollment processing * Office supply ordering * Labor posters * I9 compliance audits * New employee eTime training * Update HR templates & manuals/training/docs as needed * Effective collaboration within other business units and departments to achieve positive results * Projects as assigned * New Employee Orientation * Invoice coding * Consistently maintains a professional demeanor and communicates in a respectful and collaborative manner with coworkers, managers and others in the workplace * Follows direction, is engaged and productive, and is flexible and adaptable to changing conditions and expectations * Has ability to work independently and to collaborate with and support other members of the department and across the enterprise * Maintains regular and reliable attendance * Demonstrates the Company's core values and complies with Company policies and procedures * May be required to perform duties outside of the above responsibilities from time-to-time, as needed Requirements and Core Competencies * High School diploma or equivalency * Actively pursuing a degree in HR * General knowledge of HR practices * Knowledge of Windows-based software, with emphasis on Microsoft Office * Knowledge of HRIS data base systems preferred About Transport America: Transport America began operations in 1984, and in 2014 became a wholly-owned subsidiary of TFI International (TSX: TFI).
