We are seeking an intern to join our team that leads strategic communications for the Building Construction business at Trimble. Role of the Marketing Communications Intern: * EVENTS: This role includes learning about and executing corporate events. In this role, you will be involved with a wide range of Trimble events from large user conferences and tradeshows to small, specialized events. The Communications Intern will attend planning meetings, track and research projects as they relate to events, help track budgets and ultimately attend and support an on-site event. * SOCIAL: The Communications Intern will also be tasked with updating, maintaining and growing Trimble Buildings social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Linkedin. This is a great resume-building opportunity for someone interested in learning about marketing communications for a corporate company. Responsibilities (expecting to cut down for actually published description) Event Planning: * Coordinate 3rd party suppliers and staff for industry trade and Trimble-owned events * Create update and manage events with planning tools, including: * Sched * Eventbrite * Website * Mobile App * Contribute to research projects, such as identifying vendors and partners for each event city * Assist with database support tasks * Generate social media content/event-related campaigns to share on social media outlets * Draft event-related emails, forms, and landing pages with Marketo Social Media Management * Work with our content team to document a social media strategy and content calendar for Trimble Buildings social channels * Gather input from stakeholders in marketing, sales, product, and others to support integrated communications * Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts by creating a list of Trimble Buildings influencer audiences and mapping to social platforms to maximize growth and engagement * Assist in drafting, curating, and managing all published content (images, video, and written) to appeal to the community and build an audience of enthusiastic, active followers * Track, analyze and report key metrics, adjusting social strategy as-needed Requirements/Skills * Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications * Experience in developing professional content (may include emails, social posts, website copy, video, etc). * Proven effectiveness at understanding, and solving complex challenges * Ability and desire to collaborate and support shared goals in a team environment * Passionate about effective marketing * Great time management and ability to handle multiple projects Trimble is proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, gender, age, color, religion, national origin, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws, or any other protected factor.
