Are you passionate about changing the world? Do you love engaging with diverse and widespread audiences? Do you want an internship you can do in your pajamas? Thenew womens rights organization, The 49%, is seeking a motivated, resourceful and tech-savvy student to serve as a social media intern starting as soon as possible. The (unpaid) intern will work directly with the Director and COO to strategize, craft and execute content for the organizations platforms, including Facebook and Instagram. Applicants should have a strong level of experience with these channels, demonstrated writing ability, organizational skills, the ability to work both as part of a team and solo, and creativity to spare. The position is part-time, 20 hours/week. Duties include: * Collaborate with the team to gain an understanding of how and what we communicate to reach our primary audiences * Keep up on all relevant news related to our mission * Conceptualize, curate, create and publish daily content * Employ innovative tactics to grow the audiences * Some additional administrative tasks as needed Unfortunately we are too new to be able to pay you for your hard work, but we can guarantee you an incredible learning experience, an awesome reference letter (if deserved!), and a strong network in the human rights and womens rights space.
