Internship Title Digital Communications and Social Media Intern for Heinemann publishing Internship Description Are you an energetic, creative, flexible and cooperative collaborator looking to hone your social media skills? In this internship, you will assist in the coordination and management of all social media duties, supporting the digital communications department as a whole.Interns will learn many aspects of the social media process and strategy, including content planning, production, ensuring accurate copyright permissions and photo/video releases, and posting over all social media channels and platforms. Additional responsibilities will include blog and social media maintenance, monitoring social media conversations, and creating content for social channels. Other projects will be determined by intern interests and abilities but could include: assisting with podcast production; creating visuals for Instagram posts and stories; or writing blogs. Qualifications * Bachelors Degree or currently enrolled in a Degree program * Candidates should have an interest in social media and/or marketing strategy * Strong English language, grammar, and communication skills * Good attention to detail * Strong computer skills * Ability to proof and check ones own work * Good organizational skills Physical Requirements * Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time(sitting and/or standing). * The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. * Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. * Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings. Candidates will be asked to attend an interview at the Portsmouth location. Application/Salary/Hours This is a paid, part-time summer internship. Hours will be agreed upon on a case-by-case basis, but candidates should be able to commit at least 8 hours per week.
