Specific goals and objectives will be communicated to the intern at the beginning of their employment. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Meet with the director to determine the scope and time table for the project they are assigned * Develop a project plan and communicate to the director * Actively work with the staff to plan and implement the project * Keep the director updated on the status of the project * Receive continual feedback from the director on the project status * Collaborate with Organizational Development Intern to implement Strengths Finders in to new hire onboarding process. * Assist with organization and planning of annual Benefits & Wellness Fair * The intern will assist in the implementation of modules the Archdioceses Human Resource Information System, including: * Recruitment & staffing * Performance management * Benefits * Other job-related duties as required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED) * Excellent verbal and writing skills * Strong knowledge related to human resource management * Strong organization skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time productively and effectively * Discretion and ability to keep knowledge gained from work in strict confidence * Ability to represent the Archdiocese of Omaha in a professional manner * Excellent technical skills based on the needs of the Human Resource department, including: * Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher * Outlook * Human Resource Information Systems EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Degree or Area of Study: Human Resource Management, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Business, or other related majors.
