Summer Intern Positions DAT Solutions, LLC - Beaverton, OR 97008 Temporary, Contract, Internship Below are 12 summer intern positions within DAT. Data Science - Product Analytics 1 Position Available Summary: The Product Analytics Intern should be someone pursuing a field of study in Analytics. They will work with the Product Analyst and product teams to make sure that DAT applications are properly set up such that DAT can understand how its products are used and where there are opportunities to improve them. This position will also create and maintain basic reporting, conduct basic analysis, and overall help contribute to DATs product knowledge. Primary Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Product Analyst: * Work with delivery and engineering teams to identify and implement application tracking opportunities by: * Attending team sprint planning meetings to identify tracking needs * Documenting those needs * Working with engineering to answer questions related to the implementation and verification of tracking events * Use our web-based reporting product reporting tools to do basic analysis and to create dashboards. * Update and create application tracking plans. * Validate, maintain, and troubleshoot existing reports. * Help improve our documentation and accessibility of our reports to the DAT population. Required Skills: * Familiarity with Google Sheets * An active interest in analytics and/or data-driven product development * Analytical mindset * Well organized * Attention to detail * Good communicator * Willing to learn * Able represent analytics needs in a team environment Desired Skills: * Familiarity with an analytics tool like Google Analytics * Familiarity with data extraction tools like SQL or R * Experience conducting basic analysis with using tools such as Excel/Sheets, Tableau, or the like * Background in statistics Quality Assurance 1 Position Available Summary: The QA summer intern should be in the midst of pursuing a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering to help with automating testing. (resent graduates are also welcome to apply). Depending on the level of knowledge and experience, this person will learn either the current Cucumber/Ruby automation framework or the Load and Performance Test Framework that uses JMeter and runs within AWS. Candidates are expected to eventually write and run tests for one or more of the following products: OnTime, Power, TE, Digital Freight Marketplace, or RateView. IT - Systems Engineer/Security 1 Position Summary: DAT is currently looking for an Information Security Engineer Intern for their Corporate IT Department. The Intern will focus on location risk analysis audits, supporting internal security & compliance efforts, and ensuring identified risks are remediated in an effective and timely manner. The Information Security Intern will support DATs Information Security Program, including maintaining adequate security controls and processes to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
