Responsibilities will also include input of receipts and payables, preparation of supporting schedules, reconciliation of multiple bank accounts and performing trend analysis. The Intern will also assist in the preparation of the company financial forecast to predict future revenues, expenses and earnings. Reports will be presented to the companys management, and will offer suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying the financial forecasts. A working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs a must (Excel, Powerpoint, Word). Progress toward a bachelor's degree in an area of finance or accounting, and any relevant work experience in a related area are preferable. Knowledge of GAAP, commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the banking and real estate lending are also beneficial. The intern will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, and will not typically be required to exercise independent judgment.
