Research Intern Documentary Film Series - New Orleans, LA 9 hours agoPart-time Education * Associate's Degree New Orleans based film production company is seeking a research/archive intern to assist with the development of a documentary series. As a research intern, you will be instrumental in supporting the organization of our archival research and footage. Applicants will also have a chance to work on grant writing, assist with research on other film and media projects if desired, and experience the documentary development environment. We especially welcome individuals with a background/interest in race relations, criminal justice reform, social justice, local politics, true crime shows and/or pop media. Qualifications We require excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and organizational integrity. Applicants should possess the ability to work independently, remain flexible and take initiative in a resource-limited environment. Above all, candidates should be excellent writers and researchers and be passionate about the message of the project. Responsibilities * Maintain and update an archival-needs database using Google Drive * Locate and contact sources of desired archival photo and video materials * Research and apply to acquire reproduction rights & licensing (not required) * Visit archival facilities for on-site sourcing, such as public libraries, historical societies, etc Other Internship Details Intern will be credited as part of the Archival Team in the films credits. Compensation : Unpaid internship. Off-duty professionals welcome. Students can receive college credit. Location : New Orleans, LA Job Type : Internship, part time, 3-6 months.
