AHF is currently seeking a Communications intern to work part-time (20 hours per week) that will start on June 3rd through August 30th. The program will provide insight for students who have interest in the field of Communications, Film or Computer Science. This position is paid $10.50 hourly. YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR SUCCESS! The Communications intern contributes to AHFs mission by supporting the CME departments goal of providing physicians and their allied healthcare associates with evidence-based medical developments. The educational program seeks to inform the learner of research development, demographic trends, diagnostic tools, current therapies, and social services designed to address the health needs of HIV-infected individuals. The programs live courses which take place once a month in LA are filmed to be turned into Enduring CME Internet Activities which a provider can access at any time with just an internet connection. A Communications intern would assist the CME department in getting the Enduring CME materials aspect of the program established. The interns primary responsibility would be to edit the film using Adobe Premiere Pro and get it up on Vimeo with the corresponding links to a survey, a quiz and a course description. The intern will also assist in getting all the CME program materials organized for an AHF CME website. This important work will allow our CME program to grow into a more substantial program and reach more learners in support of AHFs national and global reputation as a leader in healthcare and advocacy. By setting up an Enduring CME program, our courses will be available on a platform that can be accessed not only by our own providers, but by providers anywhere in the country or around the world. The expected result of the CME program is to improve the learners competence and to promote the performance of best medical practices in an effort to improve patient outcomes.
