Our primary goals are to empower women and make a positive impact on the community. WHAT IS FLAT TRACK ROLLER DERBY? While the definition may appear to vary from player to player and supporter to supporter, all skating and non-skating members of Tragic City follow the rules and regulations of the Woman's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). Tragic City Rollers are proudly ranked along side a number of the strongest, most competitive WFTDA leagues. Job Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will work remotely 3-5 hours weekly, but also be able to attend scheduled TCR events in Birmingham 4-6 times throughout the year. The TCR Social Media Intern will be responsible for the following: * Promoting the Tragic City Rollers via Social Media * Creating original content for Facebook, Instagram & Twitter * Scheduling weekly content on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter with prior approval from the Public Relations Coordinator * Growing the Social Media Accounts and engaging with followers * Emailing weekly with the Public Relations Coordinator for content calendar approval and special event updates * Ensuring consistent messaging and brand voice of social content * Community management, including proactive and reactive social listening to quickly engage with our audience Qualifications: Applicants must be organized, detail oriented, be self-motivated, and enthusiastic. They must possess a professional attitude while demonstrating initiative and good communication skills. Candidates with strong writing skills, and copy writing, design, and/or social media management experience strongly preferred Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
