Responsibilities Interns learn about Gilbane's support or operations teams in a variety of specialties including accounting, marketing, human resources, estimating, scheduling and other essential duties. nbsp; This role will be within our Human Resouce Department and supporting our team with general office support in addition to supportingnbsp;the following Initiatives: * Audit and update Self Service (our HRIS digitalnbsp;record program)nbsp;as needed. * Investigate and analyze the status/effectiveness of our Individual Development Plan program (IDP). * Develop and execute a process to engage employees to update their emergency contact info. * Review, audit, and document historical personnel files. * Conduct a job description inventory, outline gaps with an action plan to address. * Conduct a competency inventory, outline gaps with an action plan to address. * Develop and deploy communications plans to encourage employee action in our HRIS, Self Service portal. Qualifications EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION nbsp; bull; Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program for the department or team bull; Prior exposure to construction industry is a plus bull; Or equivalent combination of education and experience nbsp; KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS amp; ABILITIES nbsp; bull; Strong communication skills bull; Proficient in Microsoft Office nbsp; Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
