Intelligence Analyst Intern Mackinac Partners, LLC - Bloomfield Hills, MI 6 hours agoInternshipEstimated: $32,000 - $42,000 a year Education * Bachelor's Degree Skills * Excel * Microsoft Word * Microsoft Powerpoint * Microsoft Office * Analysis Skills JOB TITLE: Intelligence Analyst Intern TYPE: Part-Time Internship; Potential Full-Time Permanent Conversion REPORTS TO: Katherine Johnston, Director DIVISION: Investigations, Risk & Dispute Advisory Group OFFICE: Bloomfield Hills, MI START DATE: June 2019 (Tentative, Subject to Change) Summary: Conduct comprehensive research and various forms of due diligence generating relevant business intelligence that supports specific client objectives. Support all levels of client engagements with results, analysis, and summary documentation. Provide ongoing administrative and organizational support to division management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following (other duties may be assigned): * Responsible for adhering to various processes utilized in conducting comprehensive background investigations tailored to specific client objectives; * Conduct ongoing research to identify additional open source intelligence (OSINT) sources to be utilized during investigations; * Search for and request court documents in various jurisdictions and at the differing court levels, to include submission of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests; * Conduct public records requests through additional government bodies (e.g., police departments, department of motor vehicles, health department, etc.) and ensure appropriate document templates are maintained for these requests; * Train on terminology utilized on police reports and court records, as well as how to effectively relay pertinent information from these documents to clientele; * Make contact and establish relationships with sources (domestic and international) for due diligence and business assessments; * Assist with the development of new client opportunities by providing a description of services available, networking, quoting prices, etc.; * Draft comprehensive investigation reports and work to improve template(s) used for work products; * Draft client engagement documents and business term agreements to assist in securing new business; * Maintain knowledge on all current cases and status to ensure all work is accomplished related to client deliverables. Provide updates and briefings to Division Management on a regular basis; * Demonstrate strong organization and work management skills, to ensure all objectives are met and priorities adhered to; * Collaborate with Division Management on marketing, sales objectives, and strategies; * Develop and/or improve sales processes, policies, and procedures. Qualifications, Education and/or Experience: * Bachelors degree (recent graduates): Law, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Business, or related field is preferred; * Some level of research and/or investigative experience in previous work environments; * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of software including: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Other Essential Functions or Requirements of Position: * Ability to maintain and cultivate positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues; * Ability to reason and make sound decisions; * Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writingexceptional writing skills are critical; * Ability to gather large amounts of information from reputable sources and utilize sound analysis skills to discern logical conclusions; * Must pass standard background screening, including drug screening; * Must consent to on-going background screening at Managements discretion; * Must agree to self-report any arrests or criminal convictions.
