Job Description Summary: The intern will be primarily responsible for the weekly audit of our summer live entertainment event and report to the Director of Accounting. Responsibilities: Verify each event is in compliance with the Internal Control Procedures as set forth by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, including but not limited to: Trace tickets redeemed to the system generated tickets issued report. Calculate applicable Live Entertainment Tax (LET) and sales tax. Verify proper approvals and signatures were obtained for comps and voids and that proper cash handling procedures were followed. Assist in preparing invoices to ticket brokers and agree revenue for each audited event to the invoices, general ledger and the LET and sales tax returns. Required Skills Extreme attention to detail, high level of professionalism, and excellent communication skills. Highly motivated with the ability to work on a team as well as independently and drive results. Strong proficiency with MS Excel. Currently admitted into major of accounting or finance at UNLV. Job Location Las Vegas, Nevada, United States Position Type Part-time, approximately 10-15 hours a week Course credit available upon completion Start date: May 28, 2019 End date: September 20, 2019 (based on work completion) Compensation Hourly
