The San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank (FRBSF) is looking for an Art Collection Inventory Project Intern to join us for a paid, 10-12 week full-time internship that has potential for part time work on a continued basis. San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank (FRBSF) art collection is part of a System-wide fine arts program initiated in May 1975. The program is designed to incorporate art into new and renovating building projects. The collection provides the opportunity to invest in the community in which it serves and to take an active role in the cultural development of its respective district. The FRBSF art collection comprises contemporary works, including sculpture, oil and acrylic paintings, photographs, lithographs, collages, and pen and ink drawings. As our intern, you will be: working closely with the art collection inventory project lead and an outside art consultant assisting in the completion of inventory of the collection by creating and updating records in the collection management software researching artworks, artists, and art related themes helping to identify ways of protecting and preserving collection attending meetings regarding the project liaising with galleries to provide current and relevant information about work of diverse artist in our District Qualifications: Undergraduate or graduate student in art-related degree program with 3.0 GPA or higher Experience with collection management, archive, or related experience required Knowledge of collection databases and digitization methods preferred Must demonstrate: Good organizational skills Attention to detail and ability to multitask Adaptability and flexibility Ability to work independently and as part of a team Travel: 10% or less The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
