Using a proficiency-based instructional model in a personalized school environment, RPA provides students with an education as unique as you are. www.rpacademy.org The Redmond Proficiency Academy is seeking to hire a temporary full-time high school mathematics apprentice teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. This is a full-time assignment. Position is open until filled with a start date of August, 2019. Requirement for the position is as follows: * Current Oregon licensure to teach advanced mathematics; This is a temporary, 10-month position that includes assignment as half-time teacher and half-time learning coach. It is ideal for a newly licensed teacher seeking to gain experience and to learn about our proficiency-based pedagogy. Teacher is the primary instructional delivery person in the classroom. Student achievement and growth are primarily dependent on the work and efforts of the classroom teacher. The position is demanding, varied and complex. The classroom teacher must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be well trained in content knowledge and teaching strategies.
