Human Resource Intern VMP - West Allis, WI3.7 23 hours agoPart-time Education * Bachelor's Degree Skills * Excel * Microsoft Word * Microsoft Outlook Job Overview Interns will be provided real world experience in the day-to-day functions of HR. They will perform administrative tasks and support our HR department daily activities. Reports To The Human Resource Intern will report to Human Resources Business Partner or Human Resources Director Schedule Will work around school schedule Responsibilities * Audit employees' personnel files to ensure compliance with state and federal laws * Update and maintain HR paperwork including I-9, medical, and personnel files * Compile and maintain personnel and medical files for active and inactive employees * Perform data entry in our HRIS system or Excel * Schedule candidate interviews for HR Generalists * Screen potential candidates * Conduct interviews * Assist with new hire orientations and job fairs * Perform administrative tasks such as confidential filing and scanning paperwork * Provide additional support on other miscellaneous projects as assigned. Qualifications * Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program with an emphasis in Human Resources Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information * Highly effective written and verbal communication skills * Strong attention to detail * Comfortable working with Partners (employees) at all levels in the organization * Intermediate knowledge using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel Job Types: Part-time, Internship Salary: $0.00 /year Experience: * Excel: 1 year (Preferred) * Microsoft Word: 1 year (Preferred) * Microsoft Outlook: 1 year (Preferred) Education: * Bachelor's (Preferred)
