Enviormental Science Intern KGS - Exton, PA 51 minutes agoTemporaryEstimated: $23,000 - $32,000 a year Education * Bachelor's Degree Skills * Occupational Health Experience * CDL C * Customer Service * Leadership Experience * Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response Training Opportunity: As a summer intern, you will assist with the Project Scientists, which performs environmental investigation, characterization and clean-up services nationwide for Federal clients, primarily the Department of Defense (DoD) in their environmental-related missions. Our work supporting the environment includes: identification, investigation, evaluation, and remediation of surface and subsurface sites contaminated with hazardous waste and munitions. Location: Exton, PA Some Tasks include: * Prepare required field and office reports of various activities and findings. * Research and gather statistics/related data for periodic and special one-time reports. * Reviews, verifies, and formats research into reports for use within and outside the unit. * Prepares accompanying correspondence and distributes reports as directed. Qualifications/Requirements: BS/BA in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or Safety and Occupational Health or equivalent DOD military education. Previous experience and/or course work in which you have successfully interpreted schematic diagrams and performed troubleshooting and planned maintenance on basic diagnostic imaging or electronic equipment following current standards, code and procedures to ensure safe and effective operation of those devices. Preferred Skills: * Completion of 40 Hour OSHA Hazwoper * CPR and First Aid Training * Class C Commercial Drivers License * Experience in a customer service environment * Interest in the environmental health & safety field * Ability to work as a member of a team as well as an individual * Leadership experience/potential * Strong communication, problem solving, and relationship building skills * Successful completion (upon point of hire) of OSHA/DOT physical examination Job Type: Temporary Employment Length: * 1 - 3 months
