We help companies understand and mitigate their risk for work comp injuries and get employees severely injured on the job the care they need. Our local IT department develops and maintains the systems which support all key business functions from underwriting and claims management to predictive analytics. MEC has a friendly, results-focused work environment. We seek employees who take initiative, are quick to adapt, dependable and like working as part of a team. Our ideal candidate is someone who isnt afraid to try something new, wants exposure to speeding the processes around all phases of the software development life cycle and is a quick yet thoughtful communicator. Qualifications What you will learn and do: IT Operations Technical Support Networking IT Security Data Entry Enter key data into applications and spreadsheets. Find ways to reduce the amount of data entry. Data Analysis Review and summarize data to create information for visibility and process improvement. Exposure How to work in a professional environment and interact/network with staff and leadership. Observe all facets of the software development lifecycle including planning, requirements, development, and testing while working on real projects. What we require: Student working toward an undergraduate degree with a major or strong interest in Information Technology. Attention to detail with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines. Proficient in MS Office Suite. Strong communication skills. Details: The position begins ASAP. Ideally, candidates will be available full-time during the summer and part-time during the school year (flexible, based on school schedule). Monday through Friday, office hours.
